Miss Magnolia

I love magnolias and their intoxicating scent. The blossoms are ephemeral and do not last very long, so you have to appreciate them while they are glorious. My favorite climbing tree as a child was a huge magnolia at the gardens where I would eventually get married. I adored climbing that tree with my Dad (though we nearly gave Mum a heart attack each time). There is something enchanting about being that high up within a tree. It was eventually cut down, but I smile whenever I walk past the spot where it once stood and feel a visceral need to climb a tree...and so I do! :)
