My husband was in a rush to get to work this morning,
so I was only able to get these few shots in.
I am having a deja vu moment after what happened last October...
except instead of four kittens, there is only one!
This adorable kitten was desperate to be friends with our dog and followed her home while my husband was going for a walk last night. We could not imagine leaving the kitten outside to become feral, get hit by a car, or end up reproducing... so we took her in. I so desperately wish that we could keep her, but alas I am allergic to cats.
As you can see, she is quite a beauty. She has gorgeous markings and Cleopatra eye liner. It is hard to see in the photos, but her tail is very fluffy and the hair is longer on it than the rest of her body. The fur in her ears is just charming! We really think that she shares the same mother as the kittens we rescued last year. Unfortunately, we have been unable to capture the mother to get her spayed so she stops reproducing. We have seen this one roaming around from afar and she has been surviving off of scraps.
We are calling her Chi for now. We feel lucky because it was probably a matter of time before she would have become feral in nature. Fortunately, that was not the case yet. Chi is affectionate, purrs loudly, and just wants to be loved. She really prefers company to being alone and warms up instantly to humans.
Chi ADORES our dog Yui. The two of them have been so sweet together it makes my heart melt. Chi will not let Yui out of her sight and has to be snuggling and rubbing up against her. She even tries to nurse from Yui and Yui will lick her! So cute! This means that she will most likely get along great with any other pets you may have if you are interested in adopting her.
Please send me an e-mail (EclaireArt@gmail.com), fill out a message form under the contact tab of this blog, or leave a comment on this post if you are interested in adopting this sweet kitten. We would really like for her to go to a wonderful home where she will be loved for the rest of her life. We hope you understand, but we are only looking for potential owners that will spay her, refuse to de-claw her, and are willing for us to do a home visit.
Please spread the word about little Chi and I will update this post if she finds a home!
Update: Chi is now in a loving home! :) It is incredible how attached we became in such a short amount of time... If it weren't for my cat allergies, we would have loved to add her to our family. However, I know that she will make her new owner very happy.
Farewell, Chi... we love you!
One should be a heck of a lot easier, especially one that looks so...gentlewomanly. :D
ReplyDeleteOh she is gorgeous. If only I could have her sent over to the UK!!!
ReplyDeleteKnowing what you went through to finally place Chi in the best possible home, I am so proud of you and Corey. Your determination to do the right thing for the kitten over your own convenience is typical of you two. I also know how attached you and Yui were becoming! What a relief that Chi is going to have a wonderful life with Alex.
